Growing Awareness for the Skilled Trades
In Alabama, high school students are learning that a career in construction could provide them with a solid future. The Vice President of Membership and Workforce Development of the ABC North Alabama Wade Thompson met with more than 700 students at a local high school to encourage them to consider the skilled trades as career.
Highlighted in a local news segment, the high school students learned that going straight into the workforce as a skilled laborer could bring them $30 an hour and be paid to earn an education instead of racking up thousands in student debt.
