Cianbro Hosts Bring Your Child to Work Day
Cianbro Corporation’s Pittsfield, Maine branch hosted nearly 80 young kids for their annual Bring your Child to Work Day where sons and daughters of team members were able to spend the day with their parents while learning about the construction industry.
Activities for the kids included exploring a boom truck and tractor trailer, building cars out of LEGOs and making birdhouses. A physical education portion was run by a fitness coordinator and stretches were led by Cianbro’s President, Andi Vigue. Later on, the kids were introduced to the different phases that take place on a heavy construction jobsite, from the drawings to punch lists.
To top off the successful day, all of the children brought one school supply item to donate to local families in need to incorporate Cianbro’s belief in giving back.
